Desert Pilot Podcast

Made this video when I went flying last fall. Clouds are a rare site in Arizona so it's a big deal when you see one.

My 2 year old son Shad, brother in-law Jayce and I went to the Miramar air show a few weeks ago. It was way cool and Shad loved it. I really wanted to go and se the Blue Angels for the first time. And that was awesome as well. I don't know if it is because I'm partial to the Navy they performed much better then the Air Force Thunderbirds that I saw back in March. Their tolerances seemed much tighter, and precision just a little bit higher. I was a great time had by all.

We made the 400 mile trip from Payson, UT to Creede, CO  to see my grandparents there it was truly breathtaking there. I love going on trips and getting away and just forgetting about everything back home. but it's also good to be back.

I'm in Utah with Jessica's family still and it's been really fun you can read all about what we've been doing on her , her mother's , and brother's blog. Last friday I called an old missionary friend up. We never were companion but we lived in the same apartment in Almere for 3 months. Well turns out he had one ticket to the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert in Layton. And it was already a sort of guy night out because John (the friend) wasn't going with his girlfriend. I asked Jessica if I could go and she let me. The drive up there is over an hour. I went early to talk to John. It was great catching up and talk to and in Dutch. Then off to the concert me, John and two of his friends. We had font row seat right in the middle of the stage. (John got them for free) The concert was amazing! They were so good. The solo's were great not to long or short and it seemed like they didn't miss a note. Very professional, very nice. The whole time I wanted to jus...

We had a great trip to Catalina Island. Jessica goes in to pretty good detail so you can read more about there. I did post some pictures of the trip on facebook I put a link below and some videos on facebook, if you can get in there. Honeymoon Today I started summer school I'm taking a math class. The professor seems ok but I'll see how it all works out.

This week well what should of been tue.- thru., i went back packing with my brother. It was really fun. We had planned to go up on the rim and do a 30 or so mile hike there. But we got up there and well it was snowing in May. Not somthing we were really expecting. So after thinking for awhile we decied to drive down to four peaks and hike to the top of Brown's peak at 7,657. I had done the hike before for scouts as a 12 year-old but I didn't quite remember how hard it was. Here are some pictures of the trip and video will be coming soon. Backpacking pics
